Web accessibility

Every layer working together. No one left behind.

Are you removing a potential client's freedom to choose you?

Every unseen barrier turns away the right prospect before they ever reach a decision. A site can look great and run fast. Design, development, and content still have to work together. Web accessibility gives every visitor the freedom to choose you.

Jake Albion President of Albion Digital Web Studio

Why we care

Albion Digital's founder comes from a family with many colorblind members, men and women. Not achromatopsia but severe red-green colorblindness.

It is like having 12 crayons in a world where everyone else has 100.

Jake found a way to work through that, first as an artist and then as he moved into marketing, web design, and development. That experience, shared by team members who also navigate low-vision disabilities, shapes how we approach every project. It is personal for us.

Jake has been studying and applying web accessibility best practices since WordCamp US 2017 in Nashville, where talks on this discipline changed how he thought about the work. He has been pursuing it deliberately ever since.

Jake has been a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals since 2022.

This is not an add-on service. It directly affects how we approach every client's work.

What most people get wrong

Most businesses have sites that look and feel right. It is a vibe. But do they actually work right for everyone who lands on them?

Most accessibility issues are invisible until someone hits them. A real person navigating without a mouse. A search engine trying to index a page with no structure underneath it. An AI agent parsing content with nothing to hold onto. People and agents do not want to work hard. When the path is unclear they move on.

When you build with conformance guidelines like WCAG in mind, you are creating an experience that makes you the clear choice.

Do I need web accessibility services?

Any organization with a public-facing website has some level of exposure or opportunity here. Whether you are required to conform, managing legal exposure, or simply want every visitor to have a real chance to choose you, the starting point is the same.

Not sure where you fall? That is exactly what the first conversation is for.

How Audits and Remediations Work

  1. Intro call

A fifteen minute conversation to understand what you have, what you need, and whether we are the right fit.

  2. Project outline

A focused session to dig into your site, your goals, and the specific details that shape the proposal.

  3. We get to work

Scope and investment agreed. No surprises. No unnecessary steps.

What your business should feel like online

The digital world is built in layers.

Design, development, content, each one leaning on the others. When they fit together, visitors have everything they need to choose you. They understand who you are, what you offer, and how you can help them.

They arrive at a real choice instead of hitting a barrier that sends them somewhere else.
